Croom is an X Bama player who played under Bear Bryant. Many thought he would have a chance to become the Alabama head coach a few years ago. Alabama decided to play go with Don Shula’s son, and X Bama QB, Mike Shula. Sylvester Croom got the Mississippi State job the next year. Most everyone knows those facts.

The things they may not know is that Croom has 3 huge wins in the SEC. He beet Florida 2 years ago which almost killed Florida’s confidence in Urban Meyers spread option offense.( They regained their confidence when he won the National Title the next year   ). He beat Bama last year and it killed Mike Shula’s college coaching carear. He beat Auburn last week and he Killed Brandon Cox’s hold on his starting job. He killed Auburn’s Season. I say that he has done a great job.  Killer Croom and his bulldogs were in the LSU game till halftime. They should win another game or two in SEC play.
