#22 Auburn at Arkansas, Prediction

Posted on 08 October 2007 by Ethan Jaynes

Arkansas has a history of running wild against Auburn. It is nothing for them to put up 200-300 or more yards rushing. They have McFadden and Jones in the backfield now. Houston Nutt has done a lot of damage against Auburn with lesser known backs. Those 2 backs did a good number against Auburn last year. In fact, it was a coming out party for them.

On the other hand, Auburn is playing their best football right now. They are 2 weeks removed from beating a very good Florida team. Auburn’s Stable of running backs is ready to take the next challenge. The game is real easy for Cox when the running game is clicking on all cylinders. Auburn’s defense looked good last week and they kept Florida in check 2 weeks ago.

I have to say that Auburn will win. They have too much going for them. Arkansas is too one dimensional.  I have to believe that this will be the year that Auburn finally stops the run, or at least slows it down.
