Darren McFadden or Tim Tebow for 2007 Heisman, videos
November 26th, 2007 | by Ethanator1088 |Darren McFadden and Tim Tebow are the best players in college football. One of them has to win. Darren McFadden is breaking records set by Herschel Walker and Bo Jackson. He is the only reason Arkansas won the West in 2006 and beat LSU in 2007. He is the only reason Houston Nutt still has a job.
Tim Tebow is a beast. We have never seen any player like him. He is the only player in the history of college football to rush for 20 touchdowns and pass for over 20 touchdowns. He is a sophomore, but who cares? This award goes to the best player.
It would be a shame if the Hiesman went to a player that played on a team that had an easy schedule. It would be a shame if the Hiesman went to a player that played for a team that was in a dinky conference. Tebow and DMac play in the best conference and they play top-level talent every Saturday.

Tebow’s been not only the QB but also the #1 tailback on the team. Granted, McFadden has some phat stats, but a QB who has to handle so much of the load and still finishes 9-3 has my vote. 20+ rushing TDs? Insane…

McFadden is a force on the ground, through the air (throwing and receiving), on special teams, and basically–anywhere!!! He is the one of the best playmakers and athletes to to hit the SEC in a long time, and should be recognized for leading the Hogs to where they are now with a Heisman.

Tebow has the 2007 stats as the SEC’s top player and most deserving if you base it on total season game in and and game out stats. But Dixon was #1/#2 with Tebow until he got hurt. For weeks the lion’s share of the chatter was Dixon vs. Tebow for the Heisman. No others even came close on the discussion boards and media hoopla. With Dixon now out, why all the excitement about the outback performers? I am a Pac10 fan, and I was biased toward Dixon all the way. I looked in awe and horror each week at only one other player from the big time conferences, and that was the Florida Gator’s Tim Tebow. He is redefining something about the game I can’t really put my finger on yet… and I think it is a good thing that’s about to sweep college ball.

Tim Tebow has proven to be the greatest player in NCAA football this season. I am a fan of the South Carolina Gamecocks, but I admire his powerful athleticism on the field and his resounding character both on and off the field. One stat that should catch the attention of the Heisman voters is as follows: In the Southeastern Conference Tim Tebow has more rushing touchdowns for one season (in the SEC) than any other player in the conference history. This includes Herschel Walker, and yes, voters, it also includes Darren McFadden. Tebow is the greatest player. Let the stats speak for themselves. Tebow has more rushing touchdowns in a single season as a quarterback than McFadden has as a running-back. That is convincing evidence!

DMac is the best “football player” in the country. Tebow is a good QB, but would he still be a Heisman Finalist if he played at Arkansas?

I really think it should have been Darren. Always a bridesmaid, never a bride is BS. I know he had a bad Oct, but he is still the best college player around in my opinion.
We will have to see him tear it up in the NFL.

Darren Mcfadden fan.
