2007 Independence Bowl, Alabama vs. Colorado, Prediction
December 12th, 2007 | by Ethanator1088 |Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Colorado Buffaloes in the 2007 Independence bowl. This will be a statement game for both teams. Alabama is looking to stop their four game losing streak and Colorado can prove how good they are against an SEC team. Colorado will have Nick Saban haters on their side. They will have every Bama hater on their side. They will have every SEC hater on their side. By the way, this game is in Shreveport, La. Saban is not the state of Louisiana’s favorite coach right now either. Their records are 6-6 Colorado, and 6-6 Alabama.
Saban lost to Mississippi State, just like Shula. Saban lost to Auburn, just like Shula. Now Saban is 6-6 and headed to the Independence bowl. That is the exact situation that Shula was in last year. I know he has brought intangibles to the Alabama program, but Bama nation needs this win. Shula ended last year with a 6-7 record and a loss in the Independence Bowl. For Bama nation, this is their 4 million dollar win. This is the reason they hired Saban. Well it might not be the reason, but it will feel like it until next season.
For those of you that do not know much about Colorado, South Park’s Eric Cartman will give you an introduction of all of the players. The Creators of the cartoon are Colorado Alumni. This actually happened in a game.
Alabama has a terrible passing game. They have a QB that does not have a good touch on the ball and makes bad decisions, yet they have a star wide receiver in DJ Hall. The running attack is good in spurts. Their defense plays with passion.
I pick Bama to win. They have had a good while to focus and fix all the problems they have had. They are a proud SEC team that hates their losing streak. I think that Colorado is not a bad team. They are just going against another 6-6 team that looks a lot better than they do.
Announcers for the game will be Mark Jones, and Bob Davie.
