2007 Liberty Bowl, Mississippi State vs. UCF, Prediction

Posted on 29 December 2007 by Ethan Jaynes

Mississippi State Bulldogs vs. the Central Florida Knights in the 2007 Liberty Bowl. This is a Conference USA and SEC match up. This will be a great team. Both teams play very tough football.

Croom has restored pride in Starkville Mississippi. They are Alabama State Champions. Mississippi showed everyone they were giant killers when they beat Auburn. They showed they could win an easy game when they beat UAB. They showed they were a dominate team when they played Alabama and beat them for the Alabama State Title.

Croom should win coach of the year. Mississippi State has won a hand full of games in the last few years and all of the sudden they are going to a bowl game out of the SEC West. He has done an outstanding job.

UCF has an awesome running back Kevin Smith. He will be a Heisman touted running back next year. That usually comes with an awesome O-line. Miss. State has a typical SEC run stop defense. It will be very interesting to see who wins the line of scrimmage battle.

I do not think they allow Cowbells in Memphis Tennessee Stadiums. Mississippi State has been up and down. They are really up right now after winning an awesome egg bowl. I think this is the closest game that the SEC could lose. The bulldogs are too unpredictable. They are very conservative. This will be an awesome game. This is a 50/50 game. If you force me, I will take the Bulldogs. They are playing passionate football.

The announcers for the game will be Terry Gannon, and David Norrie.

Congrats to Crooms Crew. They won 10-3. First bowl since 2000. What a great job of coaching.
