Georgia Charities Suit Up For “Countdown to Kickoff” Presented by Synovus
ATHENS, GA – June XX, 2008 – ‘Hut hut hut’ to Athens on Friday, July 18 and Saturday, July 19, as former University of Georgia Bulldogs Jon and Matt Stinchcomb and David Greene host “Countdown to Kickoff” presented by Synovus, benefitting the Georgia Transplant Foundation (GTF), Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (Children’s), The Children’s Tumor Foundation (CTF), and UGA’s Pediatric Exercise Motor Development Clinic.
This year’s event will get the ball rolling with a golf tournament at UGA’s championship golf course. Participants can win exclusive hole and raffle prizes, while fans will have the opportunity to tee off with some of UGA’s greatest coaches and players.
After leaving the putting green, guests will make their way to the Classic Center for a Sic ‘Em Auction Party and Awards Night. They will enjoy good food and drinks, bid on live and silent auction items, mingle with UGA coaches and athletes, and witness the presentation of the 2008 IMPACT and Legacy awards.
During Saturday’s big “Countdown to Kickoff” Fan Festival event, fans of all ages will meet their favorite Bulldogs at the University’s practice fields for autographs, pictures, games and much more. General admission to the event is $30 or $100 for a family package, which includes 4 tickets.
