Alabama vs Utah, Prediction, 2009 Sugar Bowl. This has all the makings of a great bowl game. Do not think this is like last years Sugar Bowl. Bama is not as good as that Georgia team, and Utah is better than that Hawaii team.

Alabama is back in the national spotlight. It only took Nick Saban 2 years to take them to the promised land. Every Bama fan wants to be in the National Championship hunt. The past few years have humbled them slightly. They now know they can not win the BCS trophy every year now, but they still feel like they deserve to always be in the hunt.

Utah, on the other hand, has won every game they have played in. They are undefeated. They get no respect. Their fans did not buy all of their tickets. ( I do understand that it was quite a Trek to the game, but it is the Sugar Bowl Baby! ) Urban Meyer left for Fla, Alex Smith went to the NFL, and Utah just kept winning. They have a very strong defense, and a solid offense.

Andre Smith from Alabama, the best O Linemen in NCAA football will not be playing in the game Friday. He will be on the phone talking about endorsement deals with his agent. In all seriousness, this hurts Bama. It hurts them a lot. Without Andre Smith, Bama does not win 2-4 of the games they won this season. He was 25%-40% of their offense in most games. They ran off his side or they faked to his side. He is a monster, and he has made will make a lot of money.

With that bomb shell, I think Bama’s lock down win just got opened up a good bit. Alabama needs to come with a very strong game plan. The bad news for Ute fans is that Nick Saban is one of the best coaches in any sport in the world. He will have his players ready to play. Alabama should win this ball game.
