Eric Norwood will stay at South Carolina
January 6th, 2009 | by Paneech |South Carolina linebacker Eric Norwood said Monday he has changed his mind about entering the NFL Draft in favor of staying in school. Norwood led the SEC in sacks this past season. Norwood declared after the Outback Bowl that he would head into the NFL draft.
“I’ve been looking at some of the guys from last year who increased their draft stock by returning, so I changed my mind. I like the security that returning to school will provide”, said Norwood. Eric Norwood had nine sacks and 75 tackles this season.
