Oklahoma Sooners Talk Trash about Tebow, Video. Oklahoma sophomore cornerback Dominique Franks is giving the Florida Gators some bulletin board material heading into the BCS National Championship Game on January 8. Franks claims the best three quarterbacks in the nation are from the Big12, and even goes further suggesting the three best receivers and the three best tight ends are also from the Big 12.  “We have faced some great offenses, and a lot of people don’t understand that other conferences don’t have what we face”, claimed Franks.

Franks went on to say, “The right person won the Heisman, and we’re going to go out there and prove why he won it.“  Franks claims he is just retaliating to the premise of Oklahoma being ranked 98th in pass defense nationally.  Oklahoma defensive coordinator Brent Venables said he does not agree with all of Franks’ comments.

Franks was persistent in driving the point home that the entire Sooners defense was tired of fielding questions about suspect defensive play in the Big 12.  This brings up the question, are the offenses that good in the Big 12 or are the defenses that poor?  We should get an answer to both this Thursday night.
