This is the first post that I have done on shameless self promotion, but now is as good a time as any. ” Juiced Sports Blog ” just posted an interview he did with me. I am very flattered. He mostly wanted to know about my blog background etc. , but I am flattered nonetheless.
I have had several posts that great blogs have linked to, I am almost at 100k visitors, and now I have been interviewed. I have only been doing this since last September. Thank you for your support. I am very excited about next football season. Please check out the SEC Football Blogger Interview and tell me what you think. I know it is a bit lengthy, but if we were talking, it would have only taken 5 minutes to say what I had to say.
I know I have never posted about myself, and I do not intend to make a habit out of it. I hope you enjoy the interview, and come back as I continually try to make this blog better for you. The pic is of me at my last trip to FLA. I figured, if I was going to post about myself, I would go all out and be as vain as possible. :-) The green shoulder, in the bottom right corner, is my wife’s green shoulder. We leave for Florida the first week of June.
The best thing is that you get to interact with other bloggers. You can get your name out there and also learn the secrets of the big blogs. If you have a sports blog there is no reason not to join. It is free. It is fun.

This is the exit polling of one blogger. Myself. I just voted for the CFBA’s. Let me 1st explain this pink elephant in the room. My blog was shut out. It is very understandale because these blogs are better. Here is the link to the voting page. You can only vote if you have a sports blog.
My blog is new. These blogs are great. If you do not read many blogs, this is my comparison. When you listen to the radio you can hear Billy Joel sing “Piano Man “ . He does a great job. He is very talented. It is easy to see why he is on the radio and you are not.
This next video depicts my blog in comparison to the nominated blogs. I am still using the Billy Joel analogy. The video is of someone else singing “ Piano Man “. He gets most of the words correct, but it is just not the same. I hope when I grow up I can be just like these other blogs . My voting ballot is below the video.
I have done some serious work on the blog. I hope you like it. I now have a banner. I owe a huge debt of gratitude to LawVol from Gate21.net. He designed the banner with very little help from me. I just gave him the idea to put Bo and Herschel on each side of the SECFB logo. He did an outstanding job, and it is still under construstion. There are just a few more tweeks that we are working out, but I think it already looks 1000 times better!
If you look at his blog @ Gate21.net you can see more of his work. He did all of his own graphics. He has a line of Farks. Farks are funny pics that a doctored up. His Farks mostly have a Tennessee theme. He is also a lawyer, so he can help you with infringement laws etc.. Bottom line is that he is very nice, and very talented.
This blog also has a new name. www.SECFB.com. It is shorter and easier to remember. LawVol reminded me that it would be a good idea to buy that domain name because of my new logo. Make sure to tell all of your friends that you can still type in www.secfb.neswblogs.com if you want to or you can use the shorter way by typing www.SECFB.com .
I also have a new Theme to the blog. My background has changed to white, and it looks a lot neater. A lot of successful blogs have a white background. I think it is pleasing to the eye and it make it easier to see all of the information.

Gate 21.. Rookie of the year in SEC Blogging. I know that is not an award but it should be. It is a dark horse for this award, but I nominated it for best new blog, funniest, and best SEC. I hope it walks away with some kind of nomination.
